ReSet is one artist's attempt to draw people closer to God through meditation accented by daily devotional short films.
The concept is based on Psalms 1:1-3, as follows:
"Blessed is the man who does not walk in the counsel of the wicked or stand in the way of sinners or sit in the seat of mockers. But his delight is in the law of the Lord, and on his law he meditates day and night. He is like a tree planted by streams of water, which yields its fruit in season and whose leaf does not wither. Whatever he does prospers."
Psalms continues with "Meditate in your heart, and be still." ~ Psalm 4:4b.
Meditation is a unifying principle present all through the scriptures, and its intended purpose is to create a relationship between God and us. It is how we know God and how He speaks to us, yet it is all but forgotten in the 21st century.
Technology has created conveniences of modern distractions that rob us of our time to meditate, ultimately robbing us of our relationship with God. ReSet was developed to use the technology medium that so often distracts us from meditating on the Word, to enable us to meditate on the Word.
Each ReSet series consist of a package of five daily meditations, one new series per week for the year. Each ReSet series will take a small passage from scripture and with music, motion, and text move the viewer through a series of questions that cause the viewer to consider the passage in a deeper inner reflective manner that leads and develops meditation on the Word.
